And now that whole stuffing-your-face thing is about to get even better. The Hollywood Reporter just spent some time at CinemaCon, the annual convention for movie theater owners, where vendors from all over the country were displaying new sweets and snacks. And they brought some great news about movie theater food offerings. We give you two words: Oreo churros.
We'll let that sink in for a second. They're exactly how they sound—real Oreo cookies formed into a churro, and served with a cream dipping sauce. They'll be available at AMC and Regal cinemas this summer, so start reserving your tickets now.
The trade also noticed a few other interesting additions to the snacking lineup, like foot-long hot dogs, new Icee flavors (Banana Berry Punch and Sugar Cookie included) and rice cakes (for those looking to not double their waistline in a two-hour period).
Now all of that is a reason to head to the movies.
