From singing in the shower to smoldering on the red carpet, Becky G's white-hot appearances at high-profile events not only dazzle, they balance a tough-to-achieve feat: looking simultaneously glamorous and youthful.

Take last night's awards event—on the fashion front, golden strappy sandals and a beaded designer dress with peek-a-boo cutouts served a big splash of va-va-voom. But her beauty look remained remarkably fresh and sun-kissed—and is everything we'd like to repeat for upcoming hot summer nights.

Lucky for us, Becky G's makeup artist, Etienne Ortega, shared the exclusive lowdown on how to get the glowing, kitten-eyed look for ourselves.

"For this event, Becky G and I decided on a rosy gold look with nude lips and a heavy lash to match her stunning dress," the makeup pro shared.

To start, Ortega created even skin tone by applying CoverGirl TruBLEND Liquid Makeup with a blending sponge. "The foundation has amazing coverage and gave her a flawless base to work with," he said.

Next, Ortega warmed up the singer's complexion. "The focus was to create a golden glow since we're in Miami," he said. After contouring using the blendable cream foundations, the makeup pro accentuated the star's cheekbones with highlighter. "Becky's got such an amazing bone structure that it's easy to do," he said.

With a golden glow befitting of a pop goddess in place, Ortega turned his attention to Becky's eyes. "Becky has big, beautiful brown eyes," he said. "In order to complement her rose-gold dress I created a soft, yet smokey look using bronzes and browns."

He used CoverGirl Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner by Lashblast to create a dramatic cat-eye, using its angled, paddle-shaped tip to draw a perfectly graduated thin-to-thick line. "I love how dark the liner is. It's very true and exact," he said.

To complete the eye look, he went for high-stakes lashes by using not two, but three coats of CoverGirl Super Sizer by Lashblast Mascara to "add the drama," he said. Starting at the base of the lashes, Ortega used the flat side of the multi-faceted brush, then rotated the brush as he approached the tip of the lashes, so its longer bristles combed through and separated lashes for further definition.

He sealed the look with a touch of CoverGirl Colorlicious Lip Lava Lipgloss in a warm nude pink to add dimension and warmth to the overall look. The result is a luminous look that not only shines in the afterglow of a red carpet event, but is primed to do the same for us on warm summer nights when out with friends.
