In just a handful of days, the 30-year-old royal will embark on a tour of New Zealand following his current tour in Australia.
According to an official announcement that was sent out today, "Prince Harry will visit New Zealand from Saturday 9th May to Saturday 16th May at the invitation of the New Zealand Government. In his first visit to the country, The Prince will be introduced to a broad cross section of New Zealand culture and society. He will take the opportunity to meet members of the local community in each place he visits—from the national parks of Stewart Island to the urban centers of South Auckland and Wellington—highlighting the diversity of New Zealand and celebrating those who give service to the wellbeing of the country."
Harry's trip starts in the capital of Wellington on the 9th. He will then visit Stewart Island and Christchurch before heading to Lindton Military Camp, Whanganui and then Auckland. The announcement adds that Harry's tour will have specific focuses on "Maori culture and values." His travels will conclude with the FIFA U20 World Cup at the Cloud in Auckland on the 16th.
"Prince Harry is very much looking forward to his first visit to New Zealand," a spokesperson for the Brit hunk said Tuesday. "He has heard so many great things about the country, not least from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after their tour last year. He has made a number of Kiwi friends over the years, especially through the course of his military duties and is delighted that he will now have so many opportunities to meet New Zealanders in every community he visits during his tour."
Harry traveled to Australia yesterday to spend time with Australian Army units in Perth and Sydney. Sadly due to his tour Down Under, Harry will unfortunately be missing the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's second royal baby.
