Dancing with the Stars Elimination Shocker! Plus, Watch Bruce Willis Surprise Rumer At Rehearsal

We are not happy about tonight's results.

Well that was a surprise. And not a good one.

While we were ready to say goodbye to one of the more consistently low-scoring couples like Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson or Chris Soules and Witney Carson, tonight's bottom two were two of the consistently high-scoring couples: Rumer Willis & Val Chmerkovskiy vs. Willow Shields & Mark Ballas.

Unfortunately, no one volunteered as tribute when it was announced that Willow and Mark were going home, even after tying for second place with a 37 out of 40 and winning their dance off against Riker Lynch and Allison Holker. Even Chris and Witney were totally shocked to find that they were safe. Like us, they probably couldn't see a single reason for sending the Hunger Games star home at this stage in the game. We're sort of outraged and are thinking of starting a petition.

In fact, we might just call for cancelling the show entirely. If Derek Hough can't dance and Willow is gone with so much potential still unrealized, what is even the point of continuing on?!

Sigh.

If we have to find a silver lining in tonight's upsetting turn of events, we guess it's the fact that Chris kind of rocked his 1940's foxtrot with Witney. He was actually fabulous, and we felt like a proud parent who had suffered through many small-child dance recitals finally getting to watch our son actually be good at something.

Is it weird that we feel we have that relationship with Chris Soules only after watching him make out with multiple women for several months? Yes, it probably is, but we make no apologies for it, and we're totally going out for ice cream on the way home to celebrate his success.

We also really enjoyed watching Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess completely convince us to join their sleek 70's gang. We don't know what it is or what it does, exactly, but we are still in.

There was also a bit of a surprise tonight as Bruce Willis showed up to daughter Rumer Willis' dance rehearsal to surprise her. Would he ever be on Dancing with the Stars? You can probably guess the answer, but you should watch the video to see what he says anyway!

As for poor injured Derek Hough, he may be unable to dance with his feet, but that doesn't mean he can keep himself off of that dance floor. We should have known, though. If a broadway show on the other side of the country can't keep him away from DWTS, nothing ever will. Click here to watch some of his nearly perfect routine with Nastia Liukin and Sasha Farber.

What did you think of tonight's elimination? We thought it was dumb and that Robert and Kym should have gone, but that might just be us. Head to the comments to let us know!
