Matt Lauer and Ellen DeGeneres End Their Prank War at Daytime Emmys After Someone Strips to Their Underwear

TV hosts make a truce while celebrating the finest in daytime

Let there officially be peace in daytime!

For more than two months, Ellen DeGeneres and Matt Lauer have not let up with their hilarious pranks on one another.

Thanks to clever editing, we've seen the Today co-host naked, displaying his foot fetish and proving his love for Fifty Shades of Grey. Not to be outdone, Ellen has also received some of her own medicine. After all, who can forget the stunt that took a whole lot of balls?

For better or worse, the two came together at the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards Sunday night to rehash their so-called "feud." What came next, however, was one final surprise.

"Here's what we're doing," Matt shared. "In the spirit of the Daytime Emmys, Ellen and I are here to announce that we are officially ending our feud or prank war." But within seconds, the morning show host rips off his suit and shows off some black lingerie,  tights and dare we say rock-hard abs.

"Matt, please! This is a dignified celebration," Ellen explained. "This is the best in daytime. Oh my god, pull it together."

Sorry, he's not sorry. After all, Matt has to do some dance moves before it's all said and done.

In one last twist, Ellen announced to viewers that Matt generously agreed to donate $1,000 of his own money to a charity anytime a winner thanks him in their speech. Based on the first awards handed out tonight on POP TV, someone is going to have to pay up.

"These are the real winners," Matt joked while doing one final shimmy. "And remember, if you win, please pick me." Well done, Lauer and thanks for all the laughs.
