Worst. Morning. Ever.

Not to be over-dramatic or anything, but we can literally think of nothing worse to see first thing in the morning than a bloodied Scott Foley lying on a table. Can you? Unfortunately, that's exactly what one of the Gladiators stumbles upon in the insanely intense opening scene of Scandal's next episode, "First Lady Sings the Blues," after Jake's (Scott Foley) been left for dead by Rowan's (Joe Morton) secret henchman Russell (Brian White).

In the exclusive sneak peek above, Quinn (Katie Lowes) is just casually going through her morning routine at the OPA office (coffee, newspaper, etc.), completely oblivious to the handsome mess lying on the conference table.

Warning: you will find yourself yelling at your screen like an idiot for Quinn to notice Jake.

But once Quinn does notice? Well, you've got to press play on the clip above to see just how she reacts.

In case you missed the Internet's breakdown last Thursday, Scandal fans were left with their jaws on the floor after Jake was stabbed multiple times by Russell, Olivia's hookup buddy, at the end of the episode, after Olivia & Co. decided to continue their mission to take down Rowan and B613.

However, we are so not buying that Jake is really dead, even compiling a bunch of clues to prove our point. The most telling? Foley's tweet after Thursday's episode. "So, there it is. Thank you Twitter for tonight and all of the Thursday nights. It's such an honor. #Scandal," he wrote. Note how he said "it's such an honor," not "it was such an honor."

He. Can't. Be. Dead.

Scandal airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
