Good news, more good news, and bad news, MTV fans!

First, some good news: MTV announced this afternoon that the comedy Faking It, starring Katie Stevens and Rita Volk, will be returning for a season three, before it even returns for the second half of its second season. Its summer premiere is slated for Monday, August 31 at 9:30 p.m.

In some equally good news, everybody's favorite shirtless werewolf show Teen Wolf finally has not just one but two whole premiere dates for its two-part season five premiere! Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), and their pack of supernatural misfits will return to us on Monday, June 29 at 10 p.m. and Tuesday, June 30 at 9 p.m., followed by the series premiere of MTV's buzzed-about Scream series.

We feel like we've been waiting forever for the return of Teen Wolf (despite the serious lack of Tyler Hoechlin), and this season sounds like it's going to be all sorts of emotional—and scary—based on its description, per MTV:

"On the eve of senior year, Scott and his friends find themselves facing the possibility of a future without each other, a next phase of their lives that might take them in different directions despite their best intentions. Little do they know that outside forces are already plotting to break the pack apart long before graduation."

Now for the bad news: star Victoria Justice announced on Twitter on Friday that after a less-than-stellar first season, ratings-wise, the techno-thriller Eye Candy will not be returning for a second season. The 10-episode series didn't even hit a million viewers, with viewership only making it to 700,000 at its highest.

"Even though a lot of you are going to feel sad/angry, please know that playing Lindy Sampson is something that I loved and I will hold dear to my heart," Justice wrote.

RIP Eye Candy, but it sounds like we'll have plenty of other MTV shows to help mask our pain.
