A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...Matthew McConaughey got really emotional over the new Star Wars teaser trailer.

Actually, it was just last year in Interstellar that the Oscar winner shed these tears, but thanks to some clever editing, he's now watching a preview of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and weeping right along with us!

YouTube user oskararnarson cut together clips from J.J. Abrams' sure-to-be blockbuster and McConaughey's 2014 space flick. The force is strong—strong enough to make a man from Texas cry! And if the actual teaser trailer is any indication of how moving the whole movie will be, prepare for major waterworks on Dec. 18 when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters.

No knocking McConaughey for faux-sobbing over fantasy, either! Not that there's anything wrong with shedding a tear or two. He actually did just that himself (IRL, sans clever edits) when he watched Interstellar. As he told People last year, "I cried three times."

Filming some of the movie's scenes was upsetting, too. "It throttled me," he said.

Understandable! The point of all this is... Um, real men cry, and no one's immune to Star Wars' sentimentality. OK? Alright.
