For this month's Best Dressed I'd like to commend not one, but two ladies for their impeccable style—French actress Vanessa Paradis and her daughter, Lily-Rose Depp. The mother-daughter duo arrived to the Metiers d'Art Paris-Salzburg show in New York decked to the nines in head-to-toe Chanel and they were truly radiant in person.
Vanessa has been a longtime muse of Karl Lagerfeld's, and it is so exciting to see her daughter finally following in her stylish footsteps. Vanessa arrived in an incredibly intricate, textured black dress decorated with signature Chanel chains, while Lily stunned in a pastel pencil skirt and crop top paired with a choker and a youthful bob.
Lily, who basically has IT Girl written into her genes, was sure to make her first official red carpet moment a showstopper. Her look was clean, confident, polished but still incredibly youthful and fun. I couldn't help but feel that her look echoed the now iconic Versace ad featuring all the ‘90s supermodels in pastel schoolgirl outfits—equal parts sugar and spice.
Her look was excitingly modern and refreshing, but she still managed to nail the pastel trend that's been all over the runways and do it in a way that was elegant and age-appropriate. That's a royal flush in my book!
