David Blaine attempts to astound his audience with mere stunts, such as hanging upside down, being sealed in a block of ice and being buried alive, but fellow illusionist Criss Angel  is now engaged in a feat that is truly mind boggling: He will make $100 million disappear.

That’s how much the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas is paying Angel to do a show in conjunction with Cirque du Soleil called “Believe,” but it’s not just any show.

Through ingenious, mysterious methods, the master magician has created a production with early buzz that's so bad, perhaps no one will want to see it, not even Vegas crowds, who notoriously will accept virtually anything. But it doesn’t end there; Angel is using his well-known powers of mind control to apparently induce a hypnotic state among audience members, putting them in his complete control.

So far, he’s not only put crowds to sleep, but caused them to shout obscenities in public restrooms after witnessing the magically wretched show, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter who wrote that "Believe" is a “possibly unsalvageable waste of time and a dead end that literally bored some audience members to sleep.”

Befuddled show attendee Damon Ranger told the paper, “Everyone in the bathroom was chanting ‘bulls--t‘ from the urinals.” The amazed patron went on to describe the show: “Dude, it's a train wreck.”

Soup Blog sources reveal Angel’s alleged response: “Let’s see Blaine top this!"
