Ouch! Florence Welch Reveals She Broke Her Foot Jumping Off Stage at Coachella, Apologizes for Future ''Stripped Back'' Performances

Florence + the Machine frontwoman is determined that the show must go on, hence the promise of a toned-down act

Florence Welch can't just shake this off, unfortunately.

The Florence + the Machine singer revealed today that she didn't escape her epic Coachella set this past weekend unscathed—in fact, she broke her foot when she jumped off the stage!

"I'm so sorry to say, that after what was one of my favourite shows ever at Coachella, I have discovered I have broken my foot from leaping off the stage," Welch lamented on the band's Facebook page, complete with a psychedelic pic of a foot X-ray. "Unfortunately while this heals, my performances will have to be somewhat stripped back."

"I'm so sorry, I'm pretty devastated, but I still want to do the shows," the persevering English artist continued. "I understand this is not what you were expecting, but I hope its just as enjoyable. I'm going to try and make it super special for you."

It's OK—your fans will forgive you if you can't go barefoot a handful of times!

"By the time Glastonbury rolls around I should be back on my feet," Welch concluded. "This album was so much about making something from what was broken, so lets see what we can do with this.
