Celebrity wardrobes are one thing, but step into the closet of your favorite onscreen character, and you're met with elements of drama, fantasy and, most importantly, a specific point of view.

In this series, we deconstruct the outfits of TV's most multidimensional characters—the individuals who we can love, hate and still want to cop their look all in one episode.

This week, we take a look at The Royals' Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park). Yes, yee of super-short hemlines, lacy negligee and basically anything you wouldn't catch on Kate Middleton. Just like her character, her style is refined but at both times flawed and relatable. It's no wonder that the TopShop and AQ/AQ dresses she's worn on the show have already sold out. Who wouldn't want to look like a modern-day princess?

Whether the princess is attending a royal engagement or an after-hours party, she's never without something black. She may have somber moments, but her outfits are anything but. There is always an intricate detail, as seen on the sheen of her dress, paired with a bold statement piece. Here, the bright leather jacket says it all. She may be hiding from her problems, but she sure doesn't shy away from attention.

Sword Classic Biker Jacket, $529.86; Parker Black Dress, $462; Alice + Olivia by Pretty Polly Opaque Thigh High Stockings, $34; River Island Black Gold Flecked Statement Necklace, $22;  Iro Xavia Tassel Booties, $778

If there's one thing Eleanor can teach us, it's how to play with proportions and dimensions. Again, the rebel of the royal family wears an all-black look, featuring a range of textures, from leather to ultra-sheer to satin. The hues don't even have to exactly match as long as the fabrics are different; it's the trick to doing monochrome right. The oversized slouchy sweater plays the perfect counterpart to the slick mini-skirt, especially with that diagonal slit. Top it off with statement jewelry, and you're a badass princess in the making.

Alexander Wang Semi-Sheer Pullover, $433.35; Xerox Leather Skirt May, $129; Elizabeth and James Divi Pyramid Stud Cuff Bracelet, $395; Topshop Satin and Lace Triangle Bra, $20; Dannijo Imogen Necklace, $627

Eleanor's garden party dress is structured, edgy yet still refined. She plays with volume, and so can you—even without her specific type of dress. Instead, opt for an A-line mini dress and wrap a thin belt around your waistline. This will create the same kind of peplum effect, cinching in your waist while accentuating your hips. Don't forget a killer pair of heels and off to your princess duties, you go!

Lisa Perry Paint Sleeveless Dress, $995; Jacquie Aiche Large Geode Druzy Ring, $4,375; House of Harlow 1960 Onyx Ring in Gold, $60; Diesel 'Balca' Thin Belt, $74.26; Kenzo Black Perforated Pump, $425
