NetflixOrange Is the New Black's season three trailer gave us many gifts, namely Big Boo's (Lea DeLaria) wonderfully hilarious makeover, but there's one scene that's giving fans pause: Stella's (Ruby Rose) entrance. No it's not because the stunning Australian model is, well, beautiful, it's because of the blurry figure behind her. Is that Vee?!
Lorraine Toussaint rocked the Litchfield world in season two as Vee, the drug dealer pseudo mama to Taystee (Danielle Brooks). She clashed with Red (Kate Mulgrew) over old feuds and messed with friendships between many of the ladies including Poussey (Samira Wiley), Black Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore) and Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba). She was last seen on the side of the road, left for dead after escaping prison. Miss Rosa (Barbara Rosenblat) had also escaped and hit her with the van because Vee was rude to her. Typical OITNB.
Remember, she was only left for dead, albeit looking quite dead. Viewers never got confirmation that she was f'real dead. Confirmation is always key, people! Especially on TV shows. Toussaint has been vague about her involvement with season three of the Netflix dramedy.
"I believe she's dead. She's dead. And she's such a survivor, it wouldn't surprise me—I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't dead because I don't have much control over her…she's pretty dead…but it is Vee," Toussaint previously told E! News' Marc Malkin.
Sources also told us back in 2014 that the character wasn't back in season three, but then she was seen coming to set! So… is that Vee? That's what Twitter wants to know. Orange Is the New Black loves flashbacks and that scene of Rose's character Stella could be from a flashback. It's possible she's been there for the previous two seasons, prison is a big place!
