Mob Wives' Big Ang was hospitalized last week after doctors discovered a large throat tumor, but now her sister has revealed that the reality star has undergone surgery to try to remove the mass.

In a touching Instagram post, which features a picture of the sisters together, Janine Detore reveals that Big Ang has emerged from the intense procedure and is in recovery.

"To all my sisters family friends fans & well wishers my sister @biggangvh1 had a extremely long nerve racking surgery today she's now in recovery resting I wanna thank each & everyone of you for reaching out to us and praying for her & my family today," she captioned the pic.

"As I said this morning as I stand behind my sister in this picture I stood behind her today & every day we will always stand by each other through thick & thin blood is blood sister sister a bond that could never be broken now just pray for a speedy recovery I love her so much & you'll see her very soon she's a fighter #lilsis #bigsis #family #forever #sistersister."

E! News reported that the 54-year-old star, whose real name is Angela Raiola, experienced neck pain that led her to go to the hospital. After finding out the cause, a source told us that she and everyone were "just focused on getting Ang the best care possible."

It was unclear whether or not the tumor was cancerous. She has been a smoker for many years. Two days before her hospitalization, Big Ang participated in AOL's "death of fake reality TV" funeral event in New York City's Times Square.

She addressed her hospitalization in a Facebook post, clearing the air surrounding different rumors that were being reported and telling her fans she will be OK. "This is a minor setback, but I promise you this...I already have some BIG things in the world and will be returning to your TVs very soon. Always look after yourselves and don't neglect your health. I'm fortunate and blessed to have discovered something very early, and handle it in a positive manner," she wrote.

We're wishing Ang a speedy and healthy recovery!
