InstagramWhile One Direction fans continue to mourn Zayn Malik's departure from the group, the dark-haired hunk seems to be having the time of his life.
Malik and his fiancée Perrie Edwards have been vacationing together alongside his family in the South of France, and the two lovebirds posted a few sweet snapshots on Instagram from their getaway. The latest comes from Perrie, who shared a split pic of the couple playfully posing together while enjoying the sunshine and gorgeous views.
"They were very happy," and eyewitness tells E! News of the pair. "They were practically glued to each other when we saw them."
The insider goes on to tell us that Zayn constantly had his arms around Perrie's waist and touched her the entire time they were in public, adding "he couldn't keep his hands off of her."
However, their relaxing vacation has unfortunately come to an end.
Perrie, Zayn and his family left France early this morning to return home, and were snapped by photographers while heading out.
While some completely understand the 22-year-old's need for space away from the spotlight, others couldn't help but wonder if Edwards was behind the surprising decision to step away from the group.
Even X Factor judge Louis Walsh had his concerns about the news.
"What I found in the past is as things get on, and as they get girlfriends, the girlfriends are whispering things in their ears and saying like, 'You should be a solo star,' 'You should be the lead singer,'" he shared with Ireland's RTE Radio One. "That's usually the problem."
