Former Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe Has Kissed Daniel Craig and Anton Yelchin—Who's Next?

French actress can now be seen in 5 to 7

Bérénice Marlohe's life completely changed when she landed the part of Sévérine in the last James Bond movie, Skyfall.

"It gave me the opportunity to be able to get an agent in Hollywood and to receive scripts and go on auditions," the 35-year-old French actress tells me from her home in Los Angeles. "That was a turning point in my career. I was living in France but I really wanted to do American movies, English movies."

Her latest film is 5 to 7, a beautiful love story about an aspiring writer (Star Trek's Anton Yelchin) who falls for a slightly older French woman (Marlohe). But there's a twist—she's not only married with two children, but the whole family knows and completely accepts that mom and dad have relationships on the side.

Marlohe says she has "no idea" if open marriages could work, but said, "I think what this movie is speaking about is we cannot put things in a box. There are no rules really. Everybody is unique and has a different approach about love. Love, and this movie, can open our eyes to different things."

In addition to Yelchin and Daniel Craig ("He's so funny, very humble and simple," Marlohe says of her 007 co-star), she'll also be seen alongside an all-star ensemble in Terrence Malick's upcoming drama Weightless.

As always, Malick's film is shrouded in secrecy, but we do know the cast includes Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender, Christian Bale as well as Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Natalie Portman, among many others. The story reportedly focuses on the Austin music scene.

Marlohe kisses Yelchin in 5 to 7 and locked lips with Craig in Skyfall. So who did she have to get close to in Weightless?

She won't say, but teased, "My love interest is kind of surprising. My love interest is not going to be the one you think."

She worked primarily with Mara and Fassbender.

"I have to say my life as an actress is very tough," Marlohe said with her French tongue planted firmly in her beautiful French cheek. "I have to force myself to go to work with these gorgeous, incredibly talented people. You have to be willing to make some sacrifices in life for your art."
