Looks can be deceiving!

That's pretty much the premise of Fox's new comedy series, Weird Loners, in which four relationship-challenged but attractive mid-30-somethings are unexpectedly thrust into one another's lives in NYC. But How I Met Your Mother this isn't, since all four characters are...you guessed it, super weird, in very different ways.

From acting too intense when it comes to romance to being too self-absorbed, each one of the four loners has something working against them when it comes to finding love...and even friendship.

Weird Loners stars Becki Newton, Zachary Knighton, Nate Torrence and Meera Rohit Kumbhani, and looking at the cast, you can kind of assume what each of them were like in high school, aka who were the weird loners, and who were the popular kids. But just like on the show, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

When ourKristin Dos Santos sat down with the four weirdos themselves, we had to find out if they were all weird loners back in high school, or if they were as popular as we assumed them to be. And in a shocking twist, they were just the opposite!

Well, except for one cast member who was actually the most popular a person can be. So who was it? Press play on the video above to watch our interview with Newton, Knighton, Torrence and Kumbhani now!

And we've even got pics from some of the cast's high school days! Take a peek at the oh-so-amazing photos below:

Becki Newton, is that you?!

Here's Nate Torrence's prom pic with his wife. Lovin' those glasses!

Meera Rohit Kumbhani was taking selfies before selfies were even a thing!

And this one wins for the best prom photo...ever.

Weird Loners premieres tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
