Yatta! An old friend has joined the cast of Heroes Reborn: Masi Oka will reprise his breakout role of Hiro Nakamura in NBC's new Heroes series set to debut fall 2015.

Oka's role was described by NBC as a guest star for an arc. His character has the ability to time travel and teleport.

"I'm excited to return to my Heroes roots," Oka said in a statement. "Hiro Nakamura was such an inspirational role to play, and I'm hoping the fans will enjoy seeing him back on TV."

Oka is currently on CBS's Hawaii Five-0. He joins the previously announced Jack Coleman, Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski and Gatlin Green. Coleman and Oka are the only original series stars announced as returning for the miniseries.

"We are thrilled to have Masi back in the Heroes family," Tim Kring, Heroes creator and executive producer, said in a statement. "The character of Hiro Nakamura was such a huge part of the first series' success, and a gigantic fan favorite. We felt the fans would really love seeing him back in action again."

No official premiere date aside from fall 2015 has been set.
