From Nightcrawler to Southpaw, it seems that Jake Gyllenhaal can transform into any character.

The latest trailer for the Academy Award nominee's boxing drama hit the web today and we can barely pick up our jaws off the ground—thanks to the 34-year-old stud's bulging biceps and insanely ripped abs (swoon, much?).

Directed Antoine FuquaSouthpaw tells the story of Junior Middleweight Champion Billy "The Great" Hope (Gyllenhaal), who must fight his way back to the top when his life falls apart after he loses custody of his daughter following a family tragedy.

The trailer is intense and provides a thorough look at the film (there's a death within the first minute), but it's clear that Gyllenhaal gives a strong and thought-provoking performance as we've come to expect from the Nightcrawler star.

Additionally, the clip provides a sneak peek of Eminem's new single, which the musician can be heard singing at the end.

Rachel McAdams, who plays the middleweight champion's wife, 50 Cent and Rita Ora also star in the upcoming movie, and last month, Ora opened up to E! News about her hunky co-star, who packed on 15 pounds of muscle to play the role.

"I have to say it's a pretty good body," the singer, who plays an addict in the film, admitted. "I mean, Jake's got a pretty good body—that's all I'm saying on that before I get into trouble."

So, how did Gylleenhaal get in shape to play the boxing legend?

"I had him training twice a day in the boxing ring, he did two-a-days seven days a week," Fuqua shared with Deadline when describing the actor's fitness regimen. "I pretty much had him with me and my trainer every day."

He added: "I'm confident that this will change how people see Jake, as a leading man."
