In the trailer for the zombie film Maggie, Arnold Schwarzenegger's character Wade made a promise to his wife to take care of their daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin).

Off-screen, the action star has also made a promise (a big one) to movie-goers about the film.

"This is the most human zombie film you've ever seen," wrote the actor when the trailer for Maggie was uploaded Wednesday to his Facebook page. "It's the most human role you've ever seen me take on. My co-star, Abigail Breslin, is absolutely incredible in the title role, and our director, Henry Hobson, made a beautiful film," the 67-year-old actor captioned the post.

The film's trailer shows Schwarzenegger (Wade), who is conflicted when his daughter Maggie becomes infected with a zombie virus that is slowly turning her into the zombies you see in Walking Dead. Wade grapples with the questions to "cure her, save her or kill her," revealed by the movie's trailer.

After all, he did make a promise to Maggie's mother to fulfill his fatherly duties and protect his daughter. While authorities try to make Wade comply with "the rules" and turn over his daughter for quarantine, it looks like this dad has other plans.

This isn't your ordinary zombie film filled with aggressively hungry zombies. The post-apocalyptic zombie film, which hits theatres May 8, puts a human touch to the genre by following the story of a father's struggle to protect his daughter. The trailer ends with a shot of Maggie with zombie-like eyes and soiled feet. The suspense!

Will the film live up to Schwarzenegger's big claim about the film? Find out for yourselves!
