Watch: Amanda Seyfried Excited to Be Turning 30?

Being older doesn't always make someone wiser.

In While We're Young, Ben Stiller plays Josh, a middle-aged documentary filmmaker, and Naomi Watts plays his wife, Cornelia. Bored with their marriage, the Brooklyn-based characters befriend Jamie and Darby (Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried), who are in their mid-20s and remind them how to have fun.

If Seyfried learned one thing from shooting the dramedy, in theaters this Friday, it's that she doesn't want to wait until she's in her forties to make things happen. What does she hope for herself at 40? "Time! More time!" the Valentino-clad actress told E! News during Monday's red carpet premiere, held at the Paris Theatre in New York City. "I'm turning 30 and sometimes I think, 'God, where did the last decade go?'"

"I would kill to be 20. Life is short. Every year I think more about my mortality."

Do most twenty-somethings want to talk about life and death?

"I think it's normal," Seyfried told E! News.

Seyfried, whose 30th birthday isn't until Dec. 3, did quite a lot in her twenties. She starred in a number of critical and commercial hits, including Alpha Dog, Mamma Mia!, Jennifer's Body, Chloe, Dear John, Letters to Juliet, Red Riding Hood, In Time, Gone, Les Misérables, Lovelace and A Million Ways to Die the West.

Her professional accomplishments aside, Seyfried also romanced Emile Hirsch (2005), Jesse Marchant (2005 to 2007), Alexander Skarsgård (2007), Dominic Cooper (2007 to 2010), Ryan Phillippe (2010 to 2011), Andrew Joblon (2011) and Josh Hartnett (2012). She has been dating Justin Long since 2013.

So, what's next for the actress?

This summer, Seyfried stars as attorney Samantha Leslie Jackson in Ted 2, co-starring Mark Wahlberg. In theaters June 26, Universal Pictures' sequel to Seth MacFarlane's 2012 hit comedy also stars Morgan Freeman. The movie features cameos from Tom Brady and David Hasselhoff, among many other stars.

Seyfried will also plays Mary Darling in Warner Bros.' Pan. In theaters July 24, it co-stars Garrett Hedlund as James Hook, Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily and Levi Miller as Peter Pan.

(E! and Universal Pictures are both members of the NBCUniversal family.)
