UPDATE: Jenelle Evans has responded to Amber's "advice."
"That's funny she says that…I live by the quote my probation officer taught me: ‘Don't put yourself into a situation if you already know the outcome is going to be negative,'" Evans told E! News. "I'm about to graduate from Miller Motte in July with my MA diploma and am going back to be a surgery tech. So I think I'm doing pretty fine for myself, but thanks for the 'advice.'"
Amber Portwood will never be the same after her jail sentence.
"I think I've changed a lot. It's hard to think about the past because I can't remember half of it," she recently confessed to E! News. "Now, [I'm] living a sober life and trying to do good things. I'm trying to be normal."
What she can recall are those long months of feeling scared while serving her sentence. As it turns out, many inmates knew who Portwood was from her time on MTV that ultimately provided some challenges.
"Everybody, well, not everybody, but a lot of people knew who I was and I would get women yelling across the yard some crazy things at me," she shared. "But I would say after five to six months, everything seemed normal."
She added, "You just get used to it and you just learn to live in there. You want to do your time and you want to get out."
Leave and never come back! Now happily engaged to boyfriend Matt Baier, the 24-year-old continues to live a healthy lifestyle.
And while she's on the right track, Portwood knows other young moms from the popular MTV series aren't so lucky. When asked about Jenelle Evans' recent legal troubles, Portwood offered some advice.
"It's simple. If it's wrong, don't do it because you feel like you're not going to get caught and you do," she explained. "That's how I used to feel. Oh, I can do whatever the hell I want. How are they going to know? Nobody's going to pull me over and yeah I did. Don't do it if you're not supposed to."
New episodes of Teen Mom OG air Monday nights at 10 p.m. only on MTV.
