The network announced Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are set to reprise their iconic roles for a new six-episode event series. The revival is set to film during the summer of 2015 with a premiere date to be determined.
Chris Carter, the show's creator, is returning to helm the event series. "I think of it as a 13-year commercial break," Carter said in a statement. "The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories."
