There may be room enough in the world for two American Idol-spawned Davids. There's just not not room enough for both of them on Nov. 11.

David Cook and David Archuleta will not, as long hyped, battle for buyer superiority by releasing their albums on the same day next month—though they are coming just about as close to another face-off as possible.

Second-place finisher Archuleta will beat Cook to the market, with the runner-up's self-titled debut album hitting stores and digital outlets Nov. 11. Cook's self-titled release, meanwhile, comes out the following week, on Nov. 18.

It's a tough call.

While both have clearly vaguely different styles—pop versus, well, pop-rock—the would-be chart-toppers have already proven they share a penchant for more than just first names, having released eerily similar, font and all, cover art in recent weeks.

Which album gets your vote? And, more important, which gets your dollar?
