Maria Menounos has another title to add to her résumé!

The E! News host has been named the Special Olympics' newest Global Ambassador. She will lead a celebrity engagement campaign for the upcoming World Games, which, after an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael, could include Michael Strahan!

The former NFL star congratulated Menounos on her new role, and then she was able to lure him into joining her for some of the fun! "I am so so excited, and I'm hoping we can enlist your help because we need all the help we can get," she said to the talk show host.

She added, "We want to show the international community that Hollywood was there in full support of these incredible athletes."

As an incredible athlete himself, Strahan had no problem jumping right on board! Maria will be participating in a Unified Relay as co-captain, but wants Kelly Ripa's co-host to run "a little bit" with the torch. The mega-relay race runs (pun intended) from May 26 to July 10 and is the first torch relay to cross all 50 states with more than 20,000 participants.

"I am honored and proud to raise awareness for Special Olympics as a Global Ambassador and I am thrilled to join the movement at such an exciting time," Menounos said in a statement. "Fitness and sports are a vital part of my life and I find inspiration in the determination and spirit of the athletes of Special Olympics and I want the world to know that people with intellectual disabilities need to be included and respected in our society."

This year's Special Olympics will be Menounos' second time participating, as she previously joined the World Summer Games in Athens, Greece, in 2011 for the opening ceremony. She also served as a thought leader with the speaker series held during the nine-day event.
