That's right, the Brit singer took things to a bizarre new level in the music video for "Glass & Patron"—which she directed—and left us wondering what the heck we just spent almost five minutes watching.
The clip begins with an old white van juxtaposed against a picturesque forest setting, which seems like as good a place as any for Twigs to give (air quotes) birth (end air quotes).
The 27-year-old cradles her bare baby bump and pretends to choke herself shortly before she pulls the scarf from out of her. The whole emotional and confusing scene is followed by an equally colorful dance number, naturally, where Robert Pattinson's girlfriend gets to show off her killer dance moves.
Listen, it's not like we're ever expecting to see something ordinary or cookie cutter from Miss Twigs, but "Glass & Patron" may just be her most out there video yet.
During a recent interview with USA Today, the crooner admitted that she's not in the least bit concerned with fitting into the traditional norms for beauty.
"Being beautiful isn't everything...Sometimes it's interesting to show how you feel on the inside on the outside, just through expressing yourself."
She also added that while dating one of the most famous men in Hollywood has its downsides, it's entirely worth it in the long run.
"I really enjoy the fun of putting something out and people liking it or hating it or talking about it, but vacuous attention, it feels disgusting. It's like a hangover. It's weird. I know that's not really because of me or what I'm doing, [but] the positivity that I get from [my relationship] makes the more challenging aspects...very worth it."
