Bradley Cooper is single, but he won't be rebounding with Jennifer Lawrence!

In fact, Lawrence told reporters at Saturday's Cinema Society screening of Serena in New York City that the secret to their working relationship is "no sex!" The 24-year-old actress, who previously worked with Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, recruited the 40-year-old actor to star opposite her in the period piece. "I forced him to come onto the movie," she explained. "I mean, any male role is going to make me think of Bradley because in my opinion, he's the best, and I love working with him."

The feeling is mutual.

"I respect her so much as a professional, as an actor, and I think she's the best there is," Cooper told reporters. "And I just learn from her. You always want to work with people that are better than you."

The co-stars rarely disagree on anything—not even "where to go to dinner."

"We're both two of the biggest eaters in Hollywood," Lawrence confessed.

Serena, based on Ron Rash's novel, is available via video-on-demand.

Cooper, who recently broke up with girlfriend of two years Suki Waterhouse, was all smiles at the event. Lawrence and the actor will reunite for a fourth time in the film Joy, David O. Russell's upcoming biopic about Miracle Mop inventor Joy Mangano. Edgar Ramirez plays the Oscar-winning actress' love interest.

Last month, after a report claimed Lawrence and Russell got into an epic screaming match on set, the actress assured fans that all was well via her Facebook account. "Hey guys! It's Jen! I know I don't go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there's been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up," the Hunger Games: Catching Fire star wrote. "David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I'm having a blast making it!"

Joy is scheduled to be released on Dec. 25.
