Talk about another split we didn't see coming!

Good Morning America co-host Lara Spencer and her husband David Haffenreffer announced on Saturday that they are separating after 15 years of marriage.

"After a lot of thought, care and consideration, we have decided to end our marriage," the couple told Page Six who first broke the news. "It's a sad decision that did not come easily, especially because we respect and love each other and our children."

The pair added, "They remain our top priority. We will raise them and care for them together."

In 2000, the couple said "I Do" in Southampton when she was a contributor to ABC's national morning show. Haffenreffer was a CNN reporter at the time before becoming a real estate broker.

During the wedding festivities, Spencer explained to Martha Stewart that she wanted to marry in the gorgeous neighborhood because "that's where our courtship began and where it continues. We couldn't think of a better spot."

Fast-forward more than a decade later and the love and romance appeared to still be there.

"I want to say ‘hot, sexy kitten,' but in reality it's ‘funny best friend,'" Spencer told Good Housekeeping when asked how she would describe herself as a wife. "All we do is laugh together."

And perhaps that laughter will continue. Page Six reports that the split is amicable and a scheduled family vacation will go on as planned next week.
