"IM OFF PROBATION!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!!!"
These are the words of Chris Brown today after his court case stemming from his 2009 assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna came to a close.
The Los Angeles District Attorney confirmed to E! News Friday that the 25-year-old singer's probation has ended after Judge James Brandlin found that Brown had officially completed his 1,000.5 hours of community service and the Probation Department concluded there were no violations. Brown's attorney Mark Geragos tells E! News, "I couldn't be happier or more proud of CB."
After his Feb. 8, 2009 attack on Rihanna, Brown was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats. In June 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor. Over the past few years, Brown has appeared in court multiple time regarding whether or not he violated his probation.
