Bruce Willis and Demi Moore have been divorced for 15 years, but their oldest daughter, Rumer Willis, is now praising the way her famous parents' split up after 13 years of marriage, saying that they both put in so much "effort" to have their children not suffer from any fallout.

Even though she was only 10 years old at the time, Rumer told Larry King on his show, Larry King Now, that it was still a lot to handle but admits she didn't understand the fame aspect of it as much.

"I mean, I think at that time I didn't have as much of an understanding of the public side of it to have that affect me as much," Rumer, 26, explained. "But I have to say, I'm so thankful and grateful that my parents made such an effort at that time."

Bruce and Demi's efforts included always trying to hang out together as a family for important events, which meant the Willis kids didn't have to pick and choose parents.

"I never had to split up vacations or split up birthdays," the Dancing With the Stars competitor told King. "They always made an effort to do all of the family events still together and made such an effort to still have our family be as one unit, as opposed to two separate things, which I think really made an impact."

Eventually experiencing the split in the spotlight would take its toll, but it only made Rumer grow stronger and become even more confident in her own skin.

"I think one of the hardest parts was growing up with having your whole life kind of be on display and have people have an opinion about it," she confessed. "Before you learn how to kind of get a tough skin or to really just have confidence in who you are without letting other people's opinions affect that, that can sometimes be really hard and really get you down."

But with a strong role model like her mom—she was G.I. Jane, after all—Rumer was able to overcome everything.

"She's very strong, and I think I've learned a lot of the integrity that I try to hold for myself and everything that I do and the value that I try and put out in the world [from her]," the Hostage actress dished. "She always says, 'Live in whatever your integrity is, and go out to the world and present yourself how you want to present yourself and how you want people to see you.'"

Now the friendly exes support their daughter more than ever, and have recently reunited onset of Dancing With the Stars to support their daughter's dancing debut! Bruce even brought his second wife with him, so it became the ultimate family affair!
