The Flash vs. Arrow CrossoverCW

That's a whole lot of spandex!

Between Arrow and The Flash (and now another spinoff in the works!), there's been a whole lot of superhero costumes on the CW lately. The latest two entries? Ray Palmer's (Brandon Routh) Atom suit and Tom Cavanaugh's official unveiling of the Reverse Flash costume on The Flash. Both costumes join regularly seen-suits on the shows, including Stephen Amell's Arrow, Grant Gustin's Flash, Colton Haynes' Arsenal and Katie Cassidy's Black Canary, not to mention a stacked roster of baddies with their own distinct looks.

And when we caught up with the stars of both shows at Paleyfest, we wanted to know if they each had a favorite superhero costume between the two shows. And if they've ever tried on someone else's costume...with or without the person knowing. (Spoiler alert: they totally have!)

CLICK: What comes next after The Flash's best episode ever

Cate Cameron/The CW

Stephen Amell: I'm partial to Caity Lotz as Canary because Maya Mani, who does all the costumes, other than mine and Grant's costume, once we got into the series Maya has done every single costume since then and the Canary's costume was her first real crack at it and she nailed it. I'm partial to that one because that got us on the right foot.

Has he ever tried on another costume? "Never. I never will!"

Candice Patton: "I think Reverse Flash is probably one of my favorites...and both Canaries!"

Has she ever tried on someone's costume? "I was wandering around the Arrow set and was like, I really want to try on some of these costumes! [The Black Canary] is the ultimate power woman suit. It's the closest I could probably feel to Catwoman, who I would die to play, so that's probably my favorite. I love it."

CW

Colton Haynes:  I like Arsenal's obviously. I said it before, they gave me the butt, that's nice, but I think Ray's, is really, really cool. It's really freaking expensive and it takes a really long time to put on. I feel really bad, but at the same time it looks really cool.

Has he tried on another costume? I've tried on the wigs. I've tried on Oliver's wig when he goes back to the island.

Grant Gustin: I love Brandon's Atom costume, it's amazing. Even without all the layer, the under-layer is cool. His helmet's badass.

Has he ever tried on another costume? "I don't think so…other people have put on some of my stuff at times."

Marc Guggenheim: "I will say the Atom costume is such a triumph. It's not only my favorite…it's never been done on television before, that kind of television. The costume has real practical lights, real practical motors…It's a triumph on engineering."

FIRST LOOK: Reverse Flash is here and he looks amazing!

Emily Bett Rickards: "Colton's!"

Has she ever tried on someone's costume? "I wish. That's a good idea! The League of Assassin costumes are really cool! They should make onesies out of the costumes."

Danielle Panabaker: "I really love Arsenal, I really love Colton's!"

Has she ever tried on someone else's costume? "No, it's mostly boys who wear costumes on our show and boys are stinky, so I stay far away!"

Diyah Pera/The CW

Carlos Valdes: "I do like Arrow's costume, I think it's so sleek. And Roy's costume is also pretty good, but the Barry Allen Flash costume is just my favorite. But maybe I'm just biased because my character built it. It's not even a fair question, at this point."

Has he ever tried on someone's costume? "No, but I may or may not have tried on knockoff costume versions. I might have put one on, just for kicks."

AKM-GSI

Rick Cosnett: "The Trickster. Mark Hamill and Devon [Graye], Devon's costume is absolutely insane. "

Has he ever tried on someone's costume? "I've tried on The Flash costume. It felt really weird, and I kind of felt a little bit bad. I felt, like, ‘Oh my God, this is Grant's costume!'"

Did he tell Grant? "I didn't, I was too scared!"

Dean Buscher/The CW

Willa Holland: "I just love how Robbie Amell gets to be on fire all the time. I'm jealous of that."

Has she been asking for her own costume? "Yes, I can't really say much. But fingers crossed, guys. I'm trying. I want to be in leather, man!"
