Maybe Tom Brady's son won't be following in daddy's footsteps after all.

As the New England Patriots player enjoys football's off-season, the Super Bowl champ decided to head to the beach to spend some quality time with his family.

In a new Facebook post, the 37-year-old captured a big moment in his son's life. Let's just say the surf was definitely up for this milestone.

"Very proud of my future big wave surfer catching his first wave today!" he wrote on social media with video of the impressive stunt.

While the video isn't the best quality, our eyes spy a bikini-clad surfing instructor (Gisele Bündchen, perhaps?) and a proud dad holding a little toddler.

Meanwhile, Brady's son is a true rock star as he stands tall throughout his ride where he eventually meets up with a chocolate Labrador Retriever in the water. Watch out for surfers, puppy!

While the past weekend may have been all about surfing, it's pretty hard for Brady's kids to escape the excitement that is football.

When the New England Patriots beat Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks at Super Bowl XLIX, it was Brady's boys who got a front row seat to all the action. "We are so proud of you daddy!!!" Bündchen wrote on Instagram after the win. "Congratulations!!! #GoPats"
