The 44-year-old actress and mother of three showed off her svelte bod in a bikini Sunday while vacationing in St. Barts. The ageless Kill Bill star showcased her long legs, toned tummy and sexy cleavage in a tiny, red two-piece, but it was her makeup-free face that highlighted her best feature: Her smile!
If you'll notice, though, Uma rarely flashes her pearly whites on the red carpet. Reason being? Someone told her she had an ugly smile when she was a kid!
"I'm enjoying getting older because I feel I didn't appreciate being pretty when I was younger," she told Hello! magazine (as quoted by the Daily Mail) earlier this year. "I felt terrible. When I was 10, someone told me I had an ugly smile, so I spent the whole of my younger years feeling embarrassed and never smiling with my mouth open. But what are you going to do?"
Sadly, Uma learned that rude, unwarranted comments don't end with childhood. Last month, the actress sported some different makeup at the New York premiere of The Slap, led to a lot of criticisms about her looks.
"I look weird," she later told Today's Savannah Guthrie, referring to a picture of her previous look. "I guess nobody liked my makeup. I mean, I've been doing this for years and years and years, and people say things nice and they say things mean, and it's just like—whatever!"
"It's kind of a crazy part of the job, I guess," Savannah said.
"You know, " said Uma, "you take the good with the bad."
Well, there's certainly not a bad thing anyone can say about Uma's bikini bod!
