The cast of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens may not be allowed to reveal much, but Oscar Isaac just made us very happy with a very telling tidbit of information.

I caught up with the actor at the SXSW premiere of his sci-fi drama Ex-Machina.

Knowing Isaac couldn't talk about characters and storylines in director J.J. Abrams' top secret Star Wars, I asked what it was like walking on set for the first time.

"It was amazing," he said. "It's an incredible set. J.J. is such a fun, positive guy.

"It was really amazing to actually see all the stuff he created," he continued. "It was actually real and tactile. He's not just depending on CG. As an actor it was really fun to interact with that world."

Glad to know the movie won't be be completely made via computers.

In the only trailer released for the film so far, Isaac is seen piloting an X-Wing fighter.

Isaac's Ex-Machina co-star Domhnall Gleeson also happens to be in Star Wars.

"It was great, man," Gleeson said of being on set for the first time. "They built the sets with a lot care and love. I loved it, man. It was fantastic."

In Ex-Machina, Domhnall also reunites with his Anna Karenina love interest Alicia Vikander. In their new movie, Domhnall plays a computer programmer who falls for a beautiful female made with artificial intelligence (Vikander) that was created by his reclusive boss (Isaac).

Isaac donned a bald cap and grew out his beard for the role. "We actually played with a lot of different looks for him," he said "We tried a bunch of different things. We even had at one point, this huge wig because we were like, 'If he's been alone for years, why would he cut his hair off?'"

We have to say we're kind of digging his bald head. What do you think? Leave your comments below.

Ex-Machina is in theaters on April 10.
