The man known as Jake Ballard sat down with Tony Goldwyn—you may know him as President Fitzgerald Grant—to interview each other for ABC's Good Morning America. It was a revealing chat with personal tidbits—they both kind of messed with their wives before proposing—and Scandal secrets including this one…
"This is a question that no one has ever asked before: Which one of us really deserves Olivia?" Goldwyn asked Foley.
And the answer…
"I think it would have to be Fitz," Foley said. "I'm saying that because Fitz has risked so much in his personal life and I think Fitz has made some huge sacrifices. That's my answer."
"I like that," Goldwyn said.
But what if Olivia (Kerry Washington) did pick Fitz?
"If she picked me the show would sort of be over," Goldwyn told E! News (in the video above) at Scandal's PaleyFest panel. "The push and pull is fantastic."
Even though Fitz and Mellie (Bellamy Young) have started developing a "fabulous" and "deep relationship," it's not romantic. "It's something else," Goldwyn said. "Mellie is an odd sort of support. Fitz is not giving up on Olivia, I'll tell you that."
