E! EntertainmentIt's no secret that Sailor Brinkley Cook has had a little help from her famous mama, Christie Brinkley, in the looks department, but the longtime model has also passed along some words of wisdom about work and play.
The 16-year-old is involved in Lord & Taylor's Prom Fashion Show and sat down with E! News to reveal what her mother has taught her about the world of modeling.
"Her main beauty secret is to smile a lot because she wants to exude positive energy and happiness in the modeling industry," the young beauty told us. "She always has [smiled] throughout her whole career—which has been a large one—so I sort of aspire to be that type of person too."
Sailor added that her mom has also given her a few pointers on what to look for in a guy, you know, when she's allowed to start dating (she's just a teenager after all!)
"Her advice mostly is to pick a guy who's really nice to you and funny," she shared.
The bubbly blonde recently addressed speculation that her mother had a heavy hand in getting her modeling career started.
"It got my foot in the modeling world, but otherwise it's pretty normal," Sailor admitted during an interview with Hamptons magazine. "As much as people say we're twins, I don't think I look like my mom that much, so I think I can make my own identity in the modeling industry."
