When President Barack Obama met Claire Underwood amazing things happened.

President Obama has made it no secret that he's a fan of Netflix's House of Cards, but he really stepped up his fanboy nature when he met Robin Wright at the Correspondents Dinner.

"I met President Obama and Michelle at the Correspondents Dinner… and before he even shook my hand—of course I was shaking like a leaf, I was so nervous—he leaned in and said, 'I just want you to know, I'm not as bad as Francis.' He needed me to know that," Wright told press at a Netflix event on Monday.

Wright said Obama reiterated that fact three times. "He said, ‘I'm not as bad, but she on the other hand, is more like you,'" Wright said Obama was referring to Michelle Obama. "She and I kind of winked, she completely agreed."

In 2013, Obama joked about Francis "Frank" Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) ability to get stuff done. "I'm just wondering if [Netflix CEO Reed Hastings] brought advance copies of House of Cards," Obama joked. "I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient. It's true. It's like Kevin Spacey, man this guy's getting a lot of stuff done."

Obama's Twitter account even tweeted about the show's second season in 2014, saying, "Tomorrow: @HouseOfCards. No spoilers, please." Creator Beau Willimon said it was "mind blowing."

"It's humbling, it's flattering, and I encourage people to follow his advice," Willimon told E! News at the season two premiere. "No spoilers for your friends who didn't get to it the minute it was released."

House of Cards season three is now streaming on Netflix.
