After all, the outspoken rapper has been known to say some pretty harsh comments to a few famous musicians. Yes, we're thinking about Taylor Swift and Beck.
But if you ask the one and only Madonna, the man behind "Stronger" and "Gold Digger" deserves plenty of praise for his work both on and off the stage.
"Kanye is the new Madonna," she told the New York Daily News while promoting her new album Rebel Heart. "Kanye is the black Madonna."
She continued, "We know, and recognize, that we have that in common. We're comrades in the envelope-pushing genre."
And just as West apologized to Beck after the Grammys for talking bad about his album, Madonna admits that she makes some mistakes and dare we say, can get pretty vulnerable.
"I'm only human," she told the publication. "I'd like to get to the point where nothing can shake me. Sometimes I'm there, sometimes I'm not."
But before you feel too bad for the Grammy winner, the 56-year-old knows how to stick up for herself and doesn't really care about the critics. After all, haters can sure be your motivators.
"People have always judged me, and given me s--t about one thing or another. Now they're giving me s--t about age," she explained. "It's bulls--t. And mostly I hear it from women. I feel I should be hearing support—like, ‘Good for you.'"
And in true Kanye fashion, the superstar performer isn't afraid to gloat about her accomplishments.
"I earned my stripes," she declared. "Bitch, I'm Madonna. And that's it."
