Um, Aaron Carter Now Wants Hilary Duff to Leave Him Alone (No, We're Not Joking)

In a shocking turn of events, Aaron Carter wants Hilary Duff to leave him alone. Yes, you read that right.

The former teenybopper took to Twitter—you know, the same place he went to profess his undying love for the former Disney darling—and asked that a certain someone (Duff) stop addressing him to the media.

"Some s--t I just don't get. Stop. Talking. About. It…I did," he wrote late last night. Yikes!

But Carter's latest seemed to be water off a Duff's back, as she posted the following on social media just hours later:

"Hey lil tweety birds. Ya brighten my day! Every last one of Ya. Through thick and thin it seems your all ways pullin for me."

Late last year, the actress spoke about Carter during an interview with Buzzfeed, admitting that she was slightly creeped out after learning that he was still pining over her.

"I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married and I have a baby and we kind of just…don't know each other. So, yeah…"

You may recall that just months after Duff revealed that she was separating from Mike Comrie, Carter posted the following message on Twitter:

"Don't be that stupid dick that loses that love of your life forever. Like me…I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what any of you think."

And when asked by a fan if he was referring to Duff, he confirmed by replying, "Sure am."

Meanwhile, after a yearlong separation, Duff filed for divorce from her hockey player ex in late February.
