Katie Does Her Best Nicole Kidman Impression

Katie Holmes flaunts it on Eli Stone

So much for the Katie Holmes love parade on the Awful Truth—lasted just about week, not too shabby, huh?

Especially from someone we never favored much before. Just like everybody else, we checked out a li'l preview of Mrs. Cruise's TV return on Eli Stone, due to be hitting your boob tube Oct. 21. A dolled-up Kate's doin' a song 'n' dance in a fantasy sequence featuring an ex Mr. Jolie, Jonny Lee Miller. K.H. seems to be channeling Velma Kelly from Chicago—or is that Nicole Kidman, circa Moulin Rouge?

The former Mrs. T.C. already did the femme fatale thing, on the big screen, and much better than what we see here. What's Tommy got, a rule book each wifey has to play by? He's so very particular.

We (and Holmes) should be counting our lucky stars we didn't see her in a B'way musical instead of a dramatic play—our glowing review may not have been so bright.
