OK, now that we've stressed the urgency of this story, we can further delve into the complexities within this amazing and bizarre video made by our new hero, Jewish boy turned Jewish man Brody Criz.
Mr. Criz posted a video invitation to his Bar Mitzvah online last month. In the awesomely weird clip (it has suprisingly high quality production value?!), Criz covers popular songs including "All of Me," "Royals" and "Let It Go" with religious lyrics relating to his celebration.
In his parody of "Happy," Briz sings, "It might sound crazy what I'm ‘bout to say/ The countdown's begun to my Mitzvah day/ Trying to study hard but head's up in space/ Hands in the air like I don't care, just wanna party/ Because I'm Jewish!/ Clap along if you feel like Old Testament is the truth/ Because I'm Jewish!/ Clap along if you're 13, that means you're no longer a youth."
By the end, Criz channels the "Blurred Lines" models and strips down naked. There's even a pug involved (Yes, you should feel uncomfortable. No, you shouldn't look away).
We won't say too much more about this insane viral video except that we have a special place in our hearts for the disinterested older brother who was forced to participate in the filming along with the rest of the family.
