They may have split, but that doesn't mean that we don't still want Dev Patel and Freida Pinto to live happily ever after, together, right?
The two broke hearts everywhere after revealing that they had parted ways after nearly six years together, shortly before the New Year last year.
But it looks like the exes are on extremely friendly terms, as E! News just caught up with the Chappie actor at the red carpet premiere and he couldn't help but gush about his former leading lady.
Patel joked that he's "not Hollywood" when asked how he's able to stay so civil with his ex, and added, "She's a wonderful human."
His lovely words about Patel didn't end there either.
During an interview with the U.K.'s Guardian earlier this year, he explained that the two are still in contact with one another.
"We are incredibly close," he shared with the paper. "She's just a really generous, patient human being who has been one of the most impactful people on my life. A lot of my motivation has come from her, from being with her and knowing her."
Patel also dished that staying humble about both his personal and professional life isn't as hard as some may think.
"People ask how hard it is to stay grounded. It's f--king easy." Well said.
