Brooklyn Beckham is officially old enough to drive—in the United States, that is!

On Wednesday, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham's oldest son turned 16 (!). Dad wished the high school student and part-time model a happy birthday with a sweet smooch. He posted the black-and-white pic to his Facebook page, and as you can see, this cuddly candid shows the B-Day boy looking less than thrilled!

David, 39, also posted a throwback shot of himself and Brooklyn in matching Manchester United jerseys. In the adorable picture, Brooklyn is just a toddler—likely right around the age his baby sister Harper is now (3).

Victoria and David have quite the household! In addition to Brooklyn and little Harper, they have two sons: 12-year-old Romeo and 10-year-old Cruz!

Back in 2013, David spoke with CNN World Sport about the trouble of raising four kids in the public eye. "My eldest now is at the age where he wants to do things and go to places, and we have to hold him back," he said.

"You have to explain to him that there are certain things that he can't do," he continued. "But to be honest, we let our children do 99 percent of the things they want to do, because we want them to lead a normal life."

He also told the Huffington Post U.K. that he and Victoria "try to lead by example, by showing them it's important to work hard."

"That's one of the key things me and my wife have always done, [both] before we had children, and now [that] we have four children," he said. "We juggle everything around the family because our main priority is the children, simple as that, and it always will be, but being hardworking is the best thing you can show children."
