Well, this is certainly unexpected.
TMZ is reporting that Chris Brown is the father of a 9-month-old baby girl. The report states that the child's mother is a former model named Nia, whom the 25-year-old rapper has known for several years.
E! News contacted Brown's rep, who opted not to comment on the reports, and the recording artist has yet to publically speak out on the paternity claims.
However, Brown's on-again-off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran took to Twitter on Wednesday morning, and according to her tweet, it certainly seems that Brown is indeed a father.
The telling tweet instantly made waves on social media, and Karrueche was even trending worldwide on Twitter this morning (albeit, her name was spelled wrong).
Meanwhile, a source tells E! News that Karrueche sent the tweet because she knows the story to be true.
She also posted another tweet on February 27, which has since been deleted, but read, "y'all know a Nia?"
And in addition to Twitter posts, the 26-year-old model shared an Instagram pic on Monday, which now seems to be aimed at her ex.

Tran and Brown have weathered a series of public breakups and makeups over the course of their three-year romance, and the duo was last seen together on February 17, when they attended the Michael Costello show as part of New York Fashion Week, where they were photographed in good spirits while sporting coordinating ensembles. Karrueche also appeared in Brown's latest music video, and the two even sparked engagement rumors just three months ago.
Oddly enough, Brown, along with pal Tyga, recently chatted with Power106 radio about fatherhood, and the "Run It" singer expressed his desire to be a dad.
Tyga, who has a two-year-old son with ex Blac Chyna, said that a kid would be good for Chris because it would put things in perspective, at which point Breezy chimed in and agreed.
"If I do have a kid, it'll give me more responsibility," he said. "You know you could be responsible with yourself and be reckless and do whatever the hell you want, but I feel like once you have a kid, once you're living for someone else, I think that's when the real life starts.
"Once I do have a kid, it's gonna be amazing…" he continued. "I've been taking care of my entire family since I was maybe 15, so being able to have a kid, I don't think it would be difficult, I just think I need to love music second after that. I love music first now. It would have to be me loving the kid and teach him all the life steps, and the past and not being a knucklehead because everybody has their time to be younger and wild out but being able to adapt and mature would be great to have that responsibility."
