Paris Hilton’s mom, Kathy, has suggested that the heiress is only dating Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden to rile former BFF Nicole Richie, who—in case you live in a cave—is dating Benji’s twin brother, Joel.

Paris is auditioning people to replace Nicole as her friend. But she has also been touring the world with Benji and professed her love on MySpace, which, like, totally means it’s real.
