TumblrIf you thought the world had lost its damn mind when it spent a full day arguing and obsessing over the colors of a random stranger's dress that was posted online, then prepare to say farewell to humanity as you know it for good.
24-year-old Texas native Daniel Howland, who already sports some impressive ink, decided that what most people would call Internet's darkest hour deserved to be forever memorialized on his body.
Or, as he put it: ""I didn't see a reason not to."
"I pretty much got it because, I mean, I keep up with all the social memes and hysteria and whatever, and this is the only one that I really couldn't wrap my brain around. So I just decided to do it," Howland tells Buzzfeed. "I think it is a stupid tattoo. That's why it's funny. Because it's stupid."
He also used the tattoo to play with the emotions of anyone who thinks the dress looks blue and black (which are the correct colors), because his tattoo of the controversial garment is labeled "white and gold?"
Howland said the tattoo took about 20 minutes, and his coworker at the tattoo shop he works at, 19-year-old Nick York, did it for free.
And in case you were wondering: Howland sees the dress as black and white, while the man who inked him sees it as white and gold.
"Either people really love it, or they're like, 'you're a complete tool,'" he said. When it comes to this dress, we've all learned there is no middle ground.
Now the big question is this: does the dress tattoo outrank the Left Shark tattoo?
Actually, the bigger question is this: should we give up on 2015 now or should we wait a few more months? Personally, we're offended that no one has gotten the runaway llamas tattooed on their bodies yet.
