Zooey Deschanel is staying fit throughout her pregnancy!
The New Girl star and her fiancé, Jacob Pechenik, went for a healthy hike in Los Angeles Saturday at Griffith Park where her growing baby bump was on display! Although it's just starting to pop, the actress covered it up with a blue fleece and some black spandex.
Zooey and Jacob revealed they were expecting a baby in January and announced their engagement only a week later.
"Jacob and I are over the moon," the She & Him singer told People. "We are so excited to meet our little one."
Dating since mid-2014, this is the first child for Deschanel, 34, and Pechenick, 42. The couple is also working on her next film together, Rock the Kasbah. Also expecting a bundle of joy later this year? Deschanel's older sister, Emily Deschanel! As first reported by E! News, the Bones star is expecting her second child with husband David Hornsby.
Although she has the support of her family and friends, Zooey's co-stars also couldn't help but gush over her baby news. Jake Johnson told E! News at the Fox All-Star party at the 2015 Winter TCA Press Tour that everyone is really pumped for the baby's arrival.
"I'm excited for her. We're really excited," Johnson told us. "She and Jacob are so excited and I couldn't be happier for Zooey."
He continued, "She's a good friend and this is an awesome thing in her life. I think she's going to be a great mom."
But if you're wondering whether or not her pregnancy would be written into the show, it won't be. Johnson joked that Winston (Lamorne Morris) wouldn't be able to handle it LOL.
"No, Jess is not going to have a baby," he said, before joking, "It'd be a weird Three Men and a Baby vibe…just imagine how weird Winston would be around that baby!"
