This Long-Running ABC Family Show Just Got Renewed!

Baby Daddy was just picked up for a fifth season by the network

 Expect the laughs to keep on coming!

Baby Daddy has just been renewed for a fifth season by ABC Family, the network announced on Friday. The sitcom, which stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler, Tahj Mowry, with Melissa Peterman and Chelsea Kane, just wrapped  production on its fourth season.

"Comedy is an important part of ABC Family's make-up," Karey Burke, ABC Family's executive vice president, said in a statement. "We're excited to see where Dan [Berendsen] takes these lovable characters and look forward to more great comedy from the cast."

"God is awesome," Mowry tweeted of the renewal, while Peterman wrote on Instagram, "BIG news...I got bangs!!!...oh & BABY DADDY GOT PICKED UP FOR A 5TH SEASON!! I am thrilled, grateful & blessed to work w this amazing group of people!!"

Baby Daddy's renewal comes on the heels of ABC Family's announcement that Melissa & Joey would be ending its four-year run with its 100th episode on March 18. "We are proud of the milestones Melissa & Joey has achieved, being the network's first sitcom to reach 100 episodes and the network's first comedy to win a People's Choice Award," Burke said at the time.
