Well, that's one way to leave a lasting first impression!

It turns out Margot Robbie snagged her big breakout role in 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street by slapping Leonardo DiCaprio across the face during a heated and ad-libbed audition.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar U.K., the blond bombshell revealed she decided to go with her gut by making a bold move in her first scene together with the A-list actor.

After a yelling match ensued, the 24-year-old actress admitted, "So I walk up really close to his face and then I'm like, 'Maybe I should kiss him. When else am I ever going to get a chance to kiss Leo DiCaprio, ever?' But another part of my brain clicks and I just go, 'Whack!' I hit him in the face. And then I scream, 'F--k you!' And that's not in the script at all. The room just went dead silent and I froze."

The Australian star confessed she immediately had second thoughts about her split-second decision that would ultimately land her the part as Leo's on-screen wife.

"I'm thinking, 'You just hit Leonardo DiCaprio in the face. They're going to arrest you because that's assault," Robbie recalled. "You're definitely never going to work again, that's for sure. They'll probably sue you as well in case there's a bruise on his face and he needs to film something else."

Looks like that short-tempered portrayal ended up being the perfect fit for Naomi in Martin Scorsese's R-rated film.
