The problem with starring in an "unscripted" reality show is that it's easy to forget what's real and what's fake when the cameras stop rolling. Take, for example, Audrina Patridge's recent denial that the scandalicious photos showing off her own personal hills were never intended for Hef's eyes.

Not so, says the photog herself.

"The whole basis of the shoot was because she wanted to submit to Playboy and, you know, try and get noticed in that way," lenswoman extraordinaire Amber Slade told E! News. "She wanted to submit to Maxim and Stuff magazine with the lingerie shots that were also taken at that time."

On something of a refuting roll, Slade also denied the pert 22-year-old's claim that she was fresh out of high school when the shots were snapped—taking a page straight out of the Elle Woods defense book.

"She was blond when she was just out of high school. She's brunette in those. It was quite a while after."

Slade also told E! News that the topless shoot was one of "six or seven" the duo teamed up for over a three-year span, with one even taking place in—where else?—Laguna Beach.

You can't write this stuff.

Tune in to E! News tonight @ 7 p.m. for the entire Amber Slade interview.
